Plan Development
Plan of Palladio's Villa Rotonda
Working Palladio's plan as a basis of my own design
Initial Concept Plan
After reworking palladio's villa rotonda as a basis of the floor plan in my design, i added some degree of vertical hierarchy to delineate my design in 3 dimensions due to the rigid design in palladio's plan.
Landscape Development
First Draft of my lumion Environment
Second Draft after attempts to add more trees
Final Developed Landscape
Moving Elements
Draft concept of the students elevator from the folly to school
Initial test for the facade panels opening up to display the school/bridge
Lumion screenshots (incomplete)
Although hard to distinguish what it is, the concept i had in mind for my design was a grand structure that intergrates with the environment harmoniously. With the bridge being placed at a high altitude, the most natural design to intergrate with the environment would be clouds, as seen in the screenshots the bridge is enclosed in a transparent body. This body will be further designed to mimic the look of clouds and blend in more harmoniously as it currently does not achieve that effect.
Taking the exterior body off to show the school which is currently incomplete and susceptible to change. There are many spaces that i have designated with a function as part of the school however the design of the interior is currently lacking.
