First Task

A: YOUR BEST PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK BEFORE COMING TO THIS COURSE, THINK LATERALLY IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE "CONVENTIONAL" ART OR DESIGN WORK

This is a sketch i made of a traditional japanese building set within a natural landscape. Sketching flora had always been an issue in many of my previous sketches due to the amount of detail however during this particular one, i was able to capture most of the major details without spending countless hours on it.

B: AN IMAGE OF A GREAT PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE

Our very own Sydney Opera house is one of the many great achievements in architecture and definitely deserves to be considered great. What makes the Opera house so interesting is the complexity in the design for the period it was built and because of its unique shape, has become an icon of Australia.

C: AN ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH OF SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

Although it was very small and hardly noticeable in my backyard, there was a single plant growing within the cracks in the concrete. I found this very beautiful because the sign of life in an environment that supresses the growth of life is metaphorical to our own metaphysical lives. By working hard in life and struggling, with enough determination, we can thrive in any tough situations that we may find ourselves in.

FIND AN IMAGE SHOWING A CREATIVE WORK FROM EACH OF THE INDIVIDUALS BELOW (THEY WILL BE YOUR CLIENTS IN EXPERIMENT 1) AND DESCRIBE IT USING A NOUN, VERB AND ADJECTIVE; SEE BELOW FOR EXAMPLES.
